In the pages of the iconic 1960s manga Kyojin no Hoshi (Star of the Giants), a young baseball prodigy named Mitsuru Hanagata makes his entrance behind the wheel of a striking, futuristic machine — the Mitsuru Hanagata 2000. Though purely fictional, its sharp lines, elongated proportions, and air of elite coolness left a lasting impression on a generation of readers. To this day, it remains a symbol of ambition, confidence, and style.
At Nautilus Sports Cars, we believe that dreams born in ink can one day take shape in metal. Our founder, Mr Furukawa, has long held the vision of bringing the Hanagata 2000 to life — not as a replica of a real-world vehicle, but as a tangible tribute to a moment in Japanese popular culture when fantasy and machinery blurred.
While no full-scale vehicle has yet been constructed, plans and sketches are in development. The design would remain true to the original manga depiction, while incorporating real-world materials and drivability. The goal is not only to recreate a car from fiction, but to recapture the spirit of that era — a time when even a manga character’s car could fire the imagination of countless young readers.

ミツル花形 2000 ― まだ走り出していない、夢のスーパーカー
1960年代の伝説的な野球漫画『巨人の星』の中で、エリート野球選手・花形満（ミツル）が颯爽と登場する際に乗っていた、謎めいたスーパーカー―それが「ミツル花形 2000」です。
流麗で未来的なそのスタイリングは、現実には存在しないはずのクルマでありながら、多くの読者に強烈な印象を残しました。
ノーチラススポーツカーズでは、この「ミツル花形 2000」を実車として現実の世界に蘇らせることを、ひとつの夢として大切に温めています。
創業者の古川は、このクルマを「実在したモデルの再現」ではなく、「日本の漫画文化が生んだイマジネーションへのオマージュ」として形にしようとしています。
現在、構想段階ではあるものの、漫画に描かれたフォルムを忠実に再現するためのスケッチや試作プランが進行中です。もし実現すれば、それは単なるレプリカではなく、時代の空気や憧れをまとった“走る文化財”となるでしょう。
